Heather Hynick, FNP-BC, ANP, RNFA
ANCC Board Certified Nurse Practitioner in the areas of Family, Adult Care & Pain Management
Heather Hynick, FNP-BC, ANP, RNFA is a specialist in both operative and non operative spine care. She is currently licensed and practices in the states of New York & Vermont. Her clinical background combines occupational medicine, physiatry, pain, & orthopedics. She is a national speaker and clinical preceptor for registered nurse & nurse practitioner students.
Heather performed both her undergraduate and graduate training at The Sage Colleges in Troy, NY.
Practicing as a nurse practitioner since 2000, her NP career began as a company nurse at a large paper industry, Finch Pruyn, in Glens Falls NY. There, she mastered the art of Occupational medicine & safety under the direction of the late Richard Hogan MD. She was responsible for the health and safety of over 1100 employees.
Following a long union strike, she moved to work at Rutland Regional Medical Center in Vermont with physiatrists Dr. Michael Kenosh, Dr.Todd Lefkoe, & Dr. Robert Giering. There she managed to grow a successful Occupational Health program, and expanded her knowledge of functional rehabilitation and pain medicine. She maintains her affiliation there.
In 2006, she joined Orthopedic Associates in Saratoga Springs, NY. This multi physician practice allowed Heather to specialize in orthopedic surgery; with a focus of spine care under well respected physician, Dr. John Herzog.
In 2008 she joined the medical staff of Saratoga Hospital where she assisted in surgery, later joining the pain management team to establish a very successful practice with Dr. Gordan Kuhar, where she continues to work on a per diem basis.
Heather is American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Board Certified in Family Health, Adult Health, and Pain Management. She has received her training as a surgical first assistant at the University of Rochester. She is proud to assist thousands of people annually to achieve their goals by empowering them to take charge of their health and setting personal measurable goals.
Ms. Hynick serves on the NP legislative & educational committees for the State of New York, and is currently the President of the NP association of Warren, Washington and Saratoga Counties. She is a recognized leader in her field.
